What is inside a Hill-Rom Vest Air Pulse Unit?

….and why would we take them apart?

Well, in order to guarantee the safety and complete decontamination, we have to take apart the entire air pulse unit.

This way, we can disinfect each and every component of the system.

It also allows us to test every component to ensure that it is working properly.

Don’t try this at home. It is very easy to damage these units. A special tool is required to open the case.

The case is divided into two halves.  The front part contains the LCD display, the controller board and the user interface. The back part of the case contains the power board, the air pulse generator, including the motor, the fan and the service port cable.
